The Rainbow House Children's Resource Center (Rainbow House CRC) is an organization devoted to reducing the occurrence of child abuse and to assisting the victims. Throughout Houston County, Rainbow House coordinates community efforts in child abuse education, advocacy, treatment, family support, prevention, and training. The house itself is a child-friendly facility where children feel more comfortable talking about their situation.

First Steps Assistant (FSA)/Family Assessment Worker (FAW)

 

The Rainbow House Children’s Resource Center in Warner Robins is looking for a qualified individual to join our prevention program as a FSA/FAW.

This person will provide emotional support, parenting education, and referrals to community resources to postpartum families and parents of newborns up

to 5 years old. This person will also serve as the entry point for the Healthy Families Houston program by identifying and completing screenings of

potential clients. The position requires a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in human services, education, social work or a related field. Applicants need to

have strong interpersonal skills, ability to work with diverse populations, and excellent listening and reflective skills. Experience working with families

with young children ages 0-3 is a plus.
