The Rainbow House Children's Resource Center (Rainbow House CRC) is an organization devoted to reducing the occurrence of child abuse and to assisting the victims. Throughout Houston County, Rainbow House coordinates community efforts in child abuse education, advocacy, treatment, family support, prevention, and training. The house itself is a child-friendly facility where children feel more comfortable talking about their situation.

Rainbow House says goodbye to a friend, supporter and former Executive Director, Carol Hanna.  Carol passed away May 14, 2011 after a two year battle with pancreatic cancer.  Carol was extremely proud of her grandchildren and was able to spend a lot a quality time with them and her family during the last two years.  Carol raved about what a “rock” her husband Mark has been to her during her illness.  Carol worked at the Rainbow House for 7 years, retiring in 2005.  Our deepest condolences go out to Mark and the family during this difficult time.  For more information and to view the obituary please visit www.macon.com.
